How to Use Orchard
The Basics 💧
One scoop per load. That's it. Our ultra-concentrated formula means a little goes a long way – use the included scoop to add 1 tablespoon (15ml) of Orchard detergent powder directly into the drum of your washing machine before adding clothes.

Washing with Powder 🧺
Using the Detergent Dispenser Drawer
Located on the front of most front-loading high efficiency washing machines will be a drawer which you can pull out. Inside will be several separate compartments, for Pre Wash, Main Wash, and Fabric Softener.
The Main Wash compartment is setup by default for liquid detergent and usually has a small inner tray or insert you need to remove when using powder detergent. The small insert sometimes says "REMOVE TRAY FOR POWDER" or similar. You can set this insert aside while using all Orchard powder products.
What is Pre-Wash?
A pre-wash is normally a cycle that is selected in addition to the main wash cycle. Think of it as its own separate starter wash. The washing machine will fill with cold water, add the detergent present in the 'Pre Wash' compartment of the detergent drawer, tumble and then drain, ready for the main wash.
It is used when you have particularly stained or soiled clothing and can help get rid of the worst dirt and grime before the main cycle. It's not necessary, but you can add additional detergent or stain treatment to the pre wash compartment for maximum effectiveness.

Wash Cycles with Prewash 🛟
If you're using the PREWASH function on your washing machine, detergent should be placed in the dispenser drawers. This double-wash method works best for grass, grease, ground-in dirt, workout gear, kid clothes, and mystery stains.
Add one scoop of Orchard detergent (or Orchard Oxygen Bleach) directly into the drum for the pre-wash. Then, add detergent for the main wash into the appropriate section of the detergent drawer. This ensures the right detergent is in the right place (at the right time) for a deeper, more effective clean.
