Orchard Laundry Detergent comes in an ultraconcentrated powder and seems to be effective at cleaning dirty clothes, towels, and bedding. One small tablespoon (which is included) is enough to clean even moderately soiled clothes and overall the laundry appears to come out clean and fresh, although the detergent is unscented. The fragrance-free powder is great for sensitive skin and its hypoallergenic and plant-based nature makes it a great choice for washing kids clothes. The powder came in some larger clumps in the bag, but the detergent seems to break up easily and there was no residue in the washing machine after finishing the wash cycle. The price point is a little high, but overall this product seems to perform as advertised.

I have been using this laundry detergent lately and I am obsessed! The powder dissolves perfectly and leaves my clothes feeling fresh and clean. I love that it is non toxic and safe for sensitive skin but still very effective. I would recommend this to anyone who is on the hunt for a safe and clean detergent. I am super impressed with this Orchard laundry detergent (a new brand for me). I have an old top loader machine which only works on lukewarm water (hot and cold buttons are not functional). I used the recommended amount for a normal load and everything came out nice and clean. There was one 'chore' t-shirt that I was worried wouldn't have the small oil stains come out, but this detergent made it look good as new.

I used this detergent on a black set of sheets as well as my almost all black clothing, and none had a single mark from the detergent when I hung them all to dry.This detergent effectively removes odors as well as skin oils and other contaminants, and seems to be gentle on my fabrics. LOVE! So happy with this detergent. My clothes come out much cleaner than when I use other “clean”/nontoxic detergents. It can be really hard finding a truly nontoxic laundry detergent that does a good job cleaning your clothes and I’ve struggled to find one that is gentle enough on my children’s eczema prone skin. Love supporting a small, made in the USA business!

Love this detergent! I have 4 kids ranging from 9 months to 7 years old and I am constantly doing laundry. This stuff works great on all sorts of strains, even set in stains. Having it be natural and safe is icing on the cake. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone!

We are transitioning from liquid washing machine soap to powder and have been very happy with how well this powder soap from Orchard is working. We have a front load washer, and place the powder inside before loading it up with clothes. We like the fact that this is fragrance free and plant based.More importantly, this laundry soap really works very well! We feel like this has cleaned our clothing and towels much better than the liquid brand named soap we have been using for years. The Orchard powder soap totally dissolved and there was not any residue in the tub nor on our dark clothing. This seems to work well in both hot and cold water, though we seem to prefer using cold water more regularly.Pricing overall is fair as you are not using as much soap as before, so this seems to last a bit longer. Quality is high. This would be a great alternative for anyone with sensitive skin to use.

Most unscented products still have a weird smell like they’re trying to be unscented but not quite getting there. I have chronic migraines and scents are a big trigger for me. This detergent has the most faint smell I’ve ever experienced in an unscented product. There’s no odor when I open the bag, and only a tiny bit of something not at all perfumed or unpleasant when I take a whiff. It also gets my laundry very clean. I washed my dog’s bed and plush toys with it and they all came out smelling and feeling clean. It also worked great on my clothes and towels. It takes a very small amount so this bag will last a long time and is a great value. I would highly recommend it if smells bother you or you’re looking for a high quality detergent.

I've been trying to find a fragrance free laundry detergent to use when washing cotton underwear. I decided I didn't want to use a heavily fragranced detergent anymore when it comes to undergarments. I found these, and figured it was worth a try since it comes in a smaller size and wouldn't take up a lot of space in my already small laundry room. I'm always cautious with powdered detergents in general, and err on the side of caution and use a smallish amount for my HE machine. I haven't had any skin issues with this detergent, and the garments are coming out really clean and scent free. I'll definitely be using this going forward as it takes up a small footprint and it's a good value. Amazing if you have sensitive skin or just choose to not use fragranced products!

It is hard getting things unscented - often times what they market as unscented actually has a scent, just reduced. For us people that have serious issues with scents, finding something that is truly unscented is a wonder unto itself. This is one of those product.It is a very decent laundry detergent. And is is very very highly concentrated. 1 tablespoon for regular loads, 2 tablespoons for very large or very dirty loads. And those measurements work, they are not just for hype. We did several loads of clothes using just 1 tablespoon of this great detergent, and the clothes came out wonderfully clean, soft, and with no scent. Incredible.The laundry detergent is easy to use and there is no clumping or traces of it left after the wash is done. Getting 65 loads of wash out of this bag is looking to be very accurate, making this not only a wonderful product but a good value too.

I was a little bit concerned when I got the orchard laundry detergent Ultra concentrated powder because it is unscented. Normally, I do like to have a light scent in my laundry because I feel like it's fresher and sometimes I just enjoy the nice smells.I am trying the unscented one which I don't normally do and I was a bit concerned that if my clothes were overly soiled, that I would not be able to get a true clean and that even after washing, anybody could smell that the clothes were not fully cleaned.Fortunately, I did not have that problem with the orchard laundry detergent because I agree that it is "ultra concentrated" (although whatever that means) and it did get all the smells out from my larger than average laundry load.You basically just pour this into your washing machine and call it a day at that point. I have a high efficiency washer and I did not experience any issues with using this particular detergent powder. I normally use detergent powder because I find it to be more cost effective than the liquids. And worst case I can just pour a little bit more and not have to worry about how much I just spent in terms of laundry.The orchard laundry detergent comes in a nice bag and you can just easily add whatever you need (which generally is going to be less than this dated amount that you need to use on the bag) and be rest assured that your clothes will come out clean.In terms of a price to performance, I think the value is definitely there, although I would recommend that you pick it up on sale. It's not overly expensive, but because it's natural and you're not buying a large quantity, I do find it to be a little bit more expensive than it needs to be.

I don't use powdered detergent that much anymore. Who does? But this one caught my eye. It's good for sensitive skin and it's scented. I like both. It had a very fresh smell. The cleaning power was very good in our front loader washing machine. It'll get around 65 loads of laundry. Pretty good value.

This laundry detergent works well. It's effective at cleaning my clothes. My clothes look, feel, and smell clean after washing them with this detergent. I haven't used it on tough stains or anything out of the ordinary. I have only used it to clean my everyday clothes. I personally am not a big fan of the scent. I don't like lavender. Fortunately, the scent isn't too overwhelming. My skin can sometimes be irritated by scented laundry detergent, but this one doesn't bother me. According to the description, this product is hypoallergenic, so that might be why it doesn't irritate my skin. This laundry detergent is cruelty free and vegan friendly which is important to me. This package contains enough concentrated detergent to handle up to 65 loads. For me, I probably won't be able to do that many loads because I like to use extra detergent for heavier loads of laundry.

This laundry detergent has a strong scent. It dissolves in cool water. The bag is resealable. It gets my clothing clean. The enzymes leave something to be desired and don't remove stains. I'll stick with my normal stain remover I wish it came with a scoop. It has to be added prior to putting in clothing. I'm used to using detergent sheets that go on top of the clothing. I guess it's a decent price for powdered detergent but it's expensive compared to what I normally use.

Found this brand and decided to give it a shot. My kids have eczema flareups, but in the past I’ve found eco-friendly detergents did not clean so well... So far so good with orchard. Sweaty sports jerseys and muddy dog towels have come out looking and smelling clean. I followed the instructions and just used one little scoop that was included in the bag. We have a baby coming soon, and I feel very comfortable using this on his clothes. I will buy again!

I’ve always used Tide soap but I’ve noticed a huge difference with my clothing the first wash. My clothes feel 100% fresher, cleaner and softer. Highly recommend!

I am so happy with my Orchard detergent! I have both the lavender and the unscented and both are fantastic. The lavender has a strong smell in the bag but is very faint after clothes have gone through the dryer. As a mom of two toddlers with severe eczema, “clean” and gentle laundry detergent is an absolute must for my family. Orchard is the best nontoxic detergent I have found that actually cleans our clothes well. Very happy to support a small business with products made in the USA!

I’ve been searching for a laundry soda similar to Nellie’s for washing my little one’s clothes, and this hits the mark. A little goes a long way.. just 1 tablespoon is enough for regular loads, and 2 for heavy or large ones. It’s highly concentrated and really effective. My large load came out fresh, clean, and free of any lingering smells.The scent is gentle and not overpowering, which I appreciate for baby clothes. It dissolves well in my top-loading high efficiency washer, no residue or clumping. The plant-based, eco-friendly formula is another plus, and the bag design makes it easy to scoop exactly what you need. Great performance for the price. Seems right on track for the promised 65 loads.
